Do I have a shot for UC TAG??? Can I get in or no????
Will the previous bad grades affect my chances?
Will the C and D hurt me??
I have 2 w's will they hurt me??

The impact those bad grades may be mitigated if you explain why they happened in your personal statement on your application. Ws don’t really matter unless you have many, many more. But there’s nothing you can do about those now, just focus on getting good grades on your prerequisites, which definitely matter more than other stuff and complete IGETC even if it means having to take a whole other course. Doing that and I’d say you have a pretty good shot at getting into those UCs you named.

Tony, it’s nearly impossible to chance you with zero prerequisites done. Economics prerequisites vary wildly. Some are very prereq heavy (man. economics @ UCD) while others are pretty straightforward (Berkeley, UCSD). You need to have IGETC finished for UCSD and UCB. I think it’s just highly recommended for the others.

Yup. And business 1 is a prerequisite too I believe. For UCLA and UCD man. econ at least. I think it depends on where you want to transfer (your first choice). Some of the UCs are lenient about prereqs for economics while others are super strict. Same with IGETC.

Says you can file a TAG if you have 30 semester units. Since you have non-ccc work, looks like you cannot exceed 90 combined units. You don’t need IGETC completed. Need a 3.2. Need to have econ prerequisites done by the end of Spring (I think it’s the end?). That’s 1 year of economics, 1 year of calc, and stats(which you have).
