sweetpotato, why do u wanna transfer out of vanderbilt ?

it’s not diverse at all, very sheltered (lives up to its nickname the “vandybubble”). very very centered around greek life too, id rather be somewhere thats more connected to the outside community rather than living on campus 24/7 and going to frat parties over and over

oh and i also forgot to mention, i’m an out lesbian and its very hard to find other gay women at this school. i mean, there’s some gay men but overall i feel really disconnected

there’s lots of gay women in atlanta (i.e. emory). decatur is jokingly referred to as “d**k-hater”.

the indigo girls go their start at eddie’s attic in decatur and the club is still frequented by lesbians. not to mention there’s a gay country bar. being from california, seeing the fellers dancing together with their big hats and buckles cracked me up when i first saw it. :)

application fee is fee if you apply online, I believe.

False Hope

“space-available” / rolling / priority basis… Ya but most of these schools have long long wait lists so your not going to find any “space-available”.

It is too late except for schools that have declared that they have space available… You can try nacacnet.org

Even if these were open for more applications…who’s willing to go through the trouble of asking for recommendation letters again, etc.? Count me out. :S

from nacacnet (good resource, shows availability of fin aid & housing):

a LONG and pretty disappointing, however if you’re trying to find some of the “creamier” of this crop look for the “no” and “limited” answers in the freshman opening columns (for the most part = the better schools)

some noteworthy schools that cited space for transfers:

Smith
U of Vermont
U of Rochester
U of Maryland
RIT
Loyola (New Orleans & Marymount)
Lafayette
Lewis & Clark
ASU

scanning this makes you dizzy, there are many i’m leaving out

Any more schools?
