<p>For anyone interested, there is a brand new Musical Theatre program this year at the University of West Florida! The first person graduating from UWF with the BFA in Musical Theatre will be graduating this year (2011)! We already have 2012 and 2013 MT classes (of about 10 or so each) and the people already in the program are really talented! Also being offered is a BFA in Acting! The audition process for the program does not happen until the end of your freshman year! During your freshman year, you take a basic music theory class in the fall and a MT voice class in the spring to prepare you for the audition at the end of the year! Some of the classes you will take for the BFA MT are Acting I, II and III, 4 dance classes, and Musical Theatre Voice class (every semester)! There will most likely be a regional senior showcase but as the program grows, there might be the possibility of a NY senior showcase! UWF in general is a great school! The campus is located on a nature preserve and tuition is one of the cheapest in Florida for 4-year universities! Want more information?
