I am currently trying to compile a list of safetys, but one that interested me was the University of West Florida because it's a non-audition BFA. can anyone tell me anything about UWF's MT program?

While I had never heard of this program, I decided to look it up. Actually, it is NOT an "non-audition BFA." Rather, please read the following from their site:

a result of this review, students currently are not being
accepted for the B.F.A. Students requesting a B.F.A.

At present there is a BA in Theater with a specialization in Musical Theater. It is not a BFA and perhaps they intend to offer a BFA in the future but they are not currently offering or accepting students for a BFA. I have not heard of BFA programs with no audition. There are some where you enter as a BA and later audition after the first or second year for a BFA but right now, that is not the case at U of West Florida.

Perhaps this can be a non-audition BA in MT option for you, however, as it is ideal to have a non-audition option on your list.

Do you know of any schools that do the 1st year 2nd year thing? Thanks!
