Hm...I have been under the impression that I paid the amount due by August 15 in full. When I checked on that specific date, I saw that my 'minimum amount due now' (on bearfacts) was $0, after a student loan paid the amount that was previously due. When I calculated the difference between the balance and my loan amount, I found that I should have about $682.00 left over, which I originally thought would be refunded to me.

When I went on BearFacts today, the 18th, I found that I have a new 'minimum amount due now' of $529.00. I have not purchased anything since my last payment, but when I subtract my remaining $682 from my $1211.00 monthly housing bill (oh how i love you expensive clark kerr), it's exactly $529.00. I am 99.9% sure that this is what this new charge is connected to, but since I paid the larger amount that was due on the 15th, should I just assume that I don't have to pay this $529.00 until September 15th (when my student budget sheet says the next housing bill is due)?

Thanks!

The charged me for housing for the whole year. I have nothing due at the moment but my account balance is like $5341 or something because I still owe them the payments for housing from January to May 2006. When will I be refunded at the end of the year? That's weird since they didn't charge you for the whole year but they did to me.

Well, I'm not on full financial aid..as in the grant/loans I got do not cover the entire amount that is required to attend and live at Cal for a year. I think that is why we're charged month to month for housing. I was charged for the whole semester's tuition though, but I think everyone is.

Oh, and if you have money left over after you paid for the entire semester, you should be refunded around the 30th of this month.

Yeah, much better huh.

I'm kinda annoyed though. I thought I would be getting that 682.00 refunded to me, but instead they credited the amount towards next month's "rent". Oh well...this payment just better be due in september, and be what I think it is...They need to show exactly what these charges are for...but ONLINE and not 60 days later in the mail, haha. Okay, I'm typing really horribly. Tired. Of. Packing.

is that the date that was given to you by the billing and payment services?

I asked them about my refund (which I'm in dire need of), and they said the 19th of this month. I asked them whether this was just for me, or for everybody, and the lady said that this applied to everyone.

So, I'm confused.

nope. i got that date from a friend who is a rising senior. he said that he would get his refunds on the 30th on august for fall semester. so you're probably right. maybe it just takes a while for some people.

I was told that we get our refunds on the 19th as well, ccmad.
