I don't know the minimum scores for passing, so does anyone out there know if that's a pass? I'm pretty excited about the results, but would like some confirmation to ease my worries.

Thanks to everyone for the advice; unfortunately I decreased in pullups, but that's ok because I know I can usually do about 8/9. The advice on the basketball throw definitely paid off. Thanks again everyone.

I contacted my Regional Officer today, and she said that I passed the test and am qualified physically; so if you did as good or better than I did, you're all set!

To echo Krypter, the b-ball throw advice was extremely helpful. I increased my throws over 11 feet just by changing how I released the ball and the angle at which I threw it.

Good going. Out of curiosity, how much did you improve your performance in the various events?

In this vein, I heard that 3 USNA firsties were dismissed this last week for chronic failure to pass the physical fitness reviews. Man, would that be painful, 2nd semester, senior year, and to now have to go in as an apprentice seaman.

FAP16- you guys helped my son (with your advice this past summer) on how to improve his throw. Mr. Noodle arms with his "I only play soccer" biz had quite the difficulty with that, before you guys. He improved enough to pass. However, he went from 7 pullups to 25 just by working on it over the summer.

WP-

I have not heard of their dismissal for the phys. fit. review. OUCH!!

I had roughly the same scores on the last CFA, with the exception of the basketball throw (52 feet) and the mile run (9:30, yea, I know, it was bad).

And you're making great strides! Keep it moving in that direction and congrats. Passing is GOOD STUFF! Here's that it's among your final hurdles to successfully completing this marathon race.

How's that for mixing metaphors ... or at least events.

And btw, telling others about your progress should be an encouragement to some future Brigademates who might wonder if they can improve enuff. You're proof in the flesh! Way to go!!

There's no specific number you need to pass, just as long as you don't fail if that made any sense.

Pretty much you're doing quite fine. My basketball throw isn't even half of yours and they were still happy (BIG improvement for me, used to be less than a third of your throw) Don't sweat it but now's the time to rack up mileage...just as a warning :)
