You can access the new application at http://www.commonapp.org

Boy are you fast!!

I sure am !

Lol, i got a packet from Harvard on THURSDAY that included the new Common Application! How did they send it well before it is supposed to be available? Why did they even send my an application? they are trying to drastically reduce their acceptance rate... 1% anyone?

I the same packet from Harvard 3 weeks ago in a Recruiting Packet. I looked online and they had it on their site too.

Quick question...what does REA stand for when they talk about EA and ED and REA?

Isaw Stanford and Yale on it so i am guessing Restricted Early Admission..am i right?

REA - Restricted Early Action. This means if you apply EA at a school that uses REA, you cannot apply to another school.

Examply - my son will apply EA to Caltech and MIT, since they do not restrict. If he chose to apply EA to Stanford, he could only do that one school.

I had a little problem. When I logged in and tried to search for the University of Chicago, it did not show up. I thought U of C was a partner?

Well if it is a Partner then it should show up.

Early Action for Boston College isn't showing up...anyone know how to fix that?

Chicago doesnt use the common app

and i was wondering about that too kat41911...im not sure how to fix it though. maybe they arent offering early action this year?

I've looked on their website and I haven't found anything like that, and I'm hoping it isn't the case. Well, hopefully we can figure it out...

where are the supplements?
The only ones I can find online are those for home schooled

You guys are getting too excited. Supplements aren't up yet. There are mistakes, like Yale having non-restricted Early Action. and I don't like how you can't save part of a page.

Chicago had plans for moving to commonapp but said that it wouldn't happen this year.

^ Yeah, Chicago uses (and attempts to be clever by using) the *un*Common Application

hey... i think calling theirs the uncommon app is cool

How do you type into it?

Does Common App even change from year to year?...

Lol I started on my Common App around December last year...waiting for Princeton ED results screwed me over. =/

Good thing there's no more ED - too much stress.
