What time of day did decisions come out in last weeks wave?

One girl heard back last friday night and one girl got an email last Saturday at 7am to check her my status so I assume she heard back friday night as well

Daughter admitted OOS tonight to Liberal Arts apx 7 pm CST

Congratulations! Could you please share stats?

OOS son admitted to McCombs 12/7 and interviewed for BHP 12/12. No word yet on whether he got into BHP (or CSB Honors which was his first choice). Stats: 3.88 UW GPA/4.38 weighted GPA from very competitive high school (doesn’t rank); SAT 1560/1600. Well rounded ECs.

Any OOS results for engineering? I’ve applied to Electrical from NJ

OOS NY Applied Oct 18 for Civil/Mechanical engineering No word yet. 33 ACT not superscored, 35 Math, 34 Science,32 Reading, 30 English. 3.87/4.0 UW GPA Multi Sport Captain etc etc. Think they only take 10% OOS so rolling the dice I guess.

oos has an approx 30% admission rate but the competition is tough and gets tougher ever year. sounds like ur son has a good shot!

yes. it is also on ut austins admissions page.

@jascoop Congrats! Will you share your stats? Thank you

Hi! I’m an OOS student from OK and I applied in early October to COLA. A girl from my school in November but she applied as a communications major. If the decisions are by school, doesn’t anyone know when COLA’s is ?

@hideawaypizza okie applicant too! there is kind of a system to the madness but also not really. There are various waves that include lots of students from a specific school but there is no definite day to expect to hear your decision based on colleges. From reading the general thread, a few people have gotten into COLA but not as much as other schools. I’ve read some people saying that decisions come every Friday and others say that in January there’s only one wave in the beginning and then everyone else gets notified by the 31st/1st so who knows. If you haven’t gotten a decision yet it does not mean you didn’t get in so dont worry! Best of luck to everyone on here and congrats to those that have already gotten in!

also see this link-first article. 8,000 acceptances still pending https://sites.utexas.edu/admissions-news/2019/01/additional-fall-2019-admission-decisions-this-week/#more-356

Hi all you cool kids/parents! I know everyone is stressed out because of the admissions sent out last week; this is such a scary time!

I was accepted last Thursday into the Moody College of Communication as a political communication major! I am out of state from Stillwater, Oklahoma. This was completely unexpected because of my stats; I have average test scores and average APs. But my ECs lined up perfectly with my major. So for all of you sitting on the fence, I just wanted to let you know you’ve got this!!

Even though they are looking at your scores, they are also looking to see if you are a good fit for the program you selected. I am positive you guys know what’s up, so as long as you showed why you are passionate about your major/program, you can take some brief moments to relax.

Congrats to all of you guys on your hard work! Good luck!

If you have any questions about my stats, essays, or anything, feel free to ask! I want to help you guys feel confident(:

feel free to ask<<<<

Are you a full pay OOS applicant? No FA application?

@sybylla I am so curious, are OOS students willing to pay $37,500 a year for just tuition at UT?

AFAIK admit rate for OOS doesn’t translate into yield. I just wonder how much being full pay impacts admit rates outside of Cockerell and Mccombs. Admit with no money as as good as a no to OOS asking for money.

Hey guys OOS student that just got into Environmental Science at CNS tonight. Still waiting in LAH. Best of luck to everyone else here!

Just got in for CS!!! I’m so happy!

Indian boi from California, 1540 SAT, 3.93 UW
Bunch of APs, advanced math, etc.
Mediocre EC’s and leadership positions, but a lot of them

I was worried UT would be a reach, as it is very hard for us OOS ppl, so I’m really glad.
