So, I am trying not to read into this but...
my daughter got an email yesterday from UT saying her honors application was in review.
She is an OOS student and has not received an offer of admission to the university yet.
Could this be an indication that she got accepted and her honors application then got sent in for review or do you think the honors college reviews all of the applications (even those of students who won't get admitted to UT?) I am wishing that this was a sign that her admission letter is on it's way because the wait is killing me!
Anybody else in this situation?

I’m in the exact same situation. I got an interview for BHP on the 11th and I actually recieved an email saying my app was under review on the 17th last month. I have not been accepted into McCombs yet either. Im hoping this is also what is causing my delay for admission but I’m not holding my breath.

Edit: I just spoke to a BHP rep and he mentioned that if you are rejected from the school you want to go into but accepted into honors their decision decision overrules the regular decision. Good luck! I hope we ind out soon. Apparently only a “small” percentage of decisions have gone out.

Although theoretically you may get acceptance from the honors program after being rejected by its regular program, it’s very unlikely for that to happen. If I were them, I would make sure that would never happen because it would just show how sloppy my decision process was.
