Hi,
The deadline for the New England Conservatory is fast approaching and I'm a little concerned about the essay.
The prompt is "Describe your educational and professional goals and tell us your specific reasons for choosing to apply to NEC as you pursue these goals."
Can anyone tell me the approximate complexity level and style the admissions officers are looking for? Do they want a creative edge like the Common App essay, or more of a formal and straightforward approach? My piano instructor is telling me that they do not care much about the essay, but I'm not sure if i should believe her.. haha

I really want reliable information, so please don't leave replies assuming that conservatories don't care about essays. Unless that is the truth, of course lol

Thanks!
