Decidedfactor, how did you hear from SAIS, SIPA, and Elliot? Email, phone or lettter? Thanks!

Hey dtpark,

I heard from all three by e-mail. I heard from SIPA on March 4th, Elliott on March 10th, and SAIS on March 14th. I think SIPA and Elliott have been sending out decisions in batches...not sure about SAIS.

Updated to say...I read on Auto Admit that you can find your decision online for Elliott. Supposedly all of them became available after the 14th...if you sign into the original application with your PIN and password, there should be a decision there. Good luck (assuming you're still waiting)!

Have you not yet heard about the tree? =)

Ironically the tree is just a member of the band and isn't the mascot of the school. Thats what you get for going to place where the mascot is the color red.

Though, I wish it were the mascot, they have a version of it that looks like a giant condom :)

Update: (Applying to Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering)

Rejected: Princeton (Meng)

Accepted: Cornell (Meng)
Penn State (Masters of Science w/ funding)
Purdue (Masters of Science no funding) - Going to Open House
Rutgers (Masters of Science , waiting for official letter)

Waiting: Wisconsin (Masters of Science)

So far i am leaning towards Penn State cause of funding, and the ability to do research. One of the problems with Cornell Meng, is if i go i dont think i'll get a feel for research, which could be useful in helping me figure out if i want to do research & development type industry work or more design work.

Also im planning on going to the Purdue Open house to see what its like.

(If you are in a similar boat, feel free to im me at 'Nonsxenonhc mike'

bres6486: what a curious aim handle. why do you feel the need to proclaim that you're not straight edge or hardcore?
