New Fellows Notification Date

My D received the written invite in the mail two days after the email. Also, know that if you cannot make it on Mar 2-3, there is an option via the online RSVP to reschedule for this month. When the “Unable to attend” response is selected, you are directed to the rescheduling information.

2in2Mom – Yes. My D received a large envelope (postmarked Jan. 27th), with a fancy invitation/schedule of events, and an additional information sheet. You might want to check with the school…

We received the big envelope in the mail on Monday of this week.

Yes, my D received an info packet that contained a certificate. I wasn’t there when she opened the mail, but I assume it came in a large envelope because there are no creases in the certificate.

Finally made our travel arrangements for Fellows Weekend.

Did you receive the packet after you registered? or do they send whether you registered or not - Thanks!

I think the packet came after we registered, though we did register right away.

Same here, bubmom.

For some more insight on the Fellows candidates selection read the Deans blog:
[From the Dean’s Desk](http://elonadmissionsdean.■■■■■■■■■■■■■/)
The numbers:
Fellows applications received this year: 1664
54% of applicant pool was invited to Fellows weekend
(Of those invited, the average combined GPA was 4.57 with a 2046 SAT (32 ACT).)
Students who will come to the Fellows weekend: over 600
The number of Fellows spots available : 205

Good luck to all the Fellow candidates. The Fellows candidate weekend helped my son decide that was where he wanted to be whether or not he was selected as a fellow. I hope it does the same for many of you.

^^after reading that it occurred to me that there are students who are offered fellows after the weekend who attend other colleges…(we know a number from last year who are elsewhere)

So Is the 205 the number available? Or the number who are actually attending?

And one more thing…if you attend the weekend, are you automatically an alternate if you are not chosen?

Just things for those on here to think about…

If you are selected as an alternate you you will notified of it-not everyone who does not make it is an alternate.

I can’t speak about all the different Fellows programs but I believe for Leadership Fellows there is usually 5 designated as alternates and most years they dip into those kids. (My son was an alternate)

However last year everyone that was chosen for Leadership decided to come.
