I heard from someone that Dartmouth only accepts 2 NH kids per year. I find that extremely hard to believe. Are any of you accepted by Dartmouth from NH. If so which year did you get accepted?

That’s not true. I know of 10 kids that are going to Dartmouth from NH as part of the class of 2015. Four of them are from the same school, two are from another, and the rest are from different schools.

That’s just not true.

That’s what I thought.I know 2kids going ,that’s why I thought that statement sounded impossible…thanks for replying.on another note,I heard that if u live in nh,unless u apply early decision you will not get in,because you should be able to visit Dartmouth as many times as you want …being so close…so if you should be able to say it is your favorite for admissions to consider you…I love Dartmouth but I am not sure if I want to commit to it because I like a couple of other colleges just as much. But I do want to have that Dartmouth option…what do you advise?

That’s also not true. Again out of the ten kids I know that got into Dartmouth this year, only two got in early decision. One got taken off the waitlist from regular decision and the rest of them went regular decision.

thanks coldwinter…that is a relief. i am happy to hear that because i am not a recruitable athlete but have good enough academic credentials to apply…but i’d rather do regular decision unless my next visit to dartmouth in the summer convinces me otherwise!
