arg!!!!! again, forgot something. I wish this site let you keep editing posts

PSAT score: 228 (CR 75, M 73, W 80) hopefully national merit

In state or out for Berkeley and UCLA? Your scores are high enough that you might even make it o.o.s.
HYPMS are unpredictable, but you have good qualifications.

Oh yeah, i'm in state for Berkeley and UCLA

In fact, my house is only about 10 minutes away from the Berkeley campus (which is why i took precalc there)

Thanks for the response greennblue! Could anyone else offer their opinion?

don't be worried about your 680 critical reading. yeah it's a little underaverage but i think most ivys look beyond that. like greennblue said, HYPS are tossups but you're qualified enough to get in. i think you'll get lucky w/ atleast one. maybe 2 or 3. probably not all 4. i don't think you should have too much of a problem w/ UCLA or berkely though.

Thanks token!

Anyone else have ideas. How bad is that 650 US history? (i cannot retake it, i have other things that need to be done during the summer)

weighted GPA means nothing without unweighted GPA and rank---every school has a different system.

your test score is OK for HYP. your ECs are mediocre. i say reject by HYP. maybe in at one of the lower ivies

unweighted i have a 4.0

sorry for not putting that down.

And do you have any idea about what sorts of ECs I can do to increase my chances?

i don't know how much you can change now that you are a junior. maybe see if you can volunteer over the summer or something? i'd see if i can get a 2400 on the SAT if i were you. that would always shadow your OK ECs and get you into perhaps one of HYP
