They added Communication, Computer Science, Kinesiology, Environmental Biology and Music to the list of Impacted majors on top of all the previous ones. It sounds like 1200/ 1600 SAT scores were being rejected this year for some Engineering majors. Things are getting really competitive. Good luck to all future applicants.

And here I was hoping to apply for fall 2014 as a computer science major with a 3.1 gpa.
Guess ill apply as a math major.

@the1stgunner, you should apply to Compu Sci anyways and apply separately for Math as a backup. How’s your SAT score?

@petrarch I’m from riverside city college, so I will be a transfer. Chances are I will probably not get it as a cs major but hopefully as a math major.

Business majors got lucky… For now.

WOW I CAN’T BELIEVE THIS. Kinesiology was NOT an impacted major when I JUST applied for Winter transfer and now it is and requires all these classes that I never took!!! I can’t believe they would pull this on me last minute AFTER i already submitted my application so they can just reject me and get the application fee. disgusting

@barkley2010, I am sure they didn’t do this just to get your fee. Cal Poly Pomona has resisted declaring most majors impacted despite being overall harder to get into than CSULB, CSUF and SJSU where ALL majors are impacted. In my opinion, they should impact all majors to simplify the admissions process.

@barkley2010, kinesiology is only affected in the exercise science option only. so it isnt FULLY impacted.
