even my parents liked mayim bialik ! i don’t like dr. gupta that well but maybe its S.A.'s awkward timing

Didn’t see the show but am a Dr. Gupta fan! I like seeing the celebs that have chosen to take on the task of co-hosting no matter the intention.

I have been enjoying how excited the different celebrities/guest hosts have been to be hosting Jeopardy. Love their stories about how Jeopardy was a part of their growing up, or how their family watches it, etc.

I just said the same thing to my husband. Not impressed so far despite all the hype around him. Maybe he’ll improve.
I agree! He is taking too long to tell the contestants if their answer was right or wrong. It is slowing the game down too much.

LeVar has said in interviews that he got off to a slow start. Expect that he (like most of the other guest hosts) got better as the week went on. He only gets a week (meaning one day of taping) like the other most recent guest hosts.
I would think that -$7,400 has to be something of a record for the worst result on the show.
LeVar was OK…just OK.
I’ve seen nearly all of the guest hosts, and would probably vote for Mike Richards.

I agree that LeVar Burton’s pacing was off, and there was the miscall that caused a score recalculation at the break.
I was so looking forward to him. I hope he gets significantly better over the week. Unlike previous guest hosts, I believe he only has one week.
George Stephanopoulos and Robin Toberts only had 1 week as well. David Faber and Joe Buck will have one week too.
Will be interesting to see when they announce a permanment host. Last year they were taping new episodes in July (which started airing in September).
wow, tough crowd. 
I thought LeVar did well for the first episode. His timing was fine. Yes, he made a rookie mistake by saying, “no”, when the contestant ran out of time, but he didn’t make that mistake again.
Expect that he’ll improve over the week.
Last night’s show was awful! LeVar Burton was a huge disappointment. The middle guy was a train wreck and even the champion was stumbling and acting strange at times.

We didn’t get it here last night. Instead, they had local coverage that kind of talked about the Olympics. Seriously? Diehard Jeopardy fans like H & me are not happy about that.
