Hello, I was wondering if someone can tell me whether i did good, bad, or okay on the essay portion of the new sat. It says I got a 6/8 on Essay-Reading, 5-Essay Analysis-, and 6 on Essay Writing, I honestly don’t understand these scores I know they’re all out of 8, but whats the total score on the essay, and is it good, I’m sure I need improvement, but I just want to know where I am. When I searched it up it says on College-board, each component Reading,Writing, and Analysis is a score of 4? Thank you for your time.
Hello! So since there are 3 sections of the essay worth 8 points, you can say there is a possible 24 points to be scored. Adding you scores (6+5+6), you got a 17/24. When converting using the link below, a 17 is the equivalent of a 23 ACT writing score. Hope this helps!
