new SAT or ACT

Hi everybody, first of all the educational system of my country defines 11th grade as the last one (I’m a 2015 high-school graduate by the way) so now I have plenty of time for preparing myself for any necessary test (except of TOEFL which I took already). This leads to the question: which one should I take and why? I was thinking about taking the New SAT because people say that it’s better in terms of time and pacing, there’s free preparation, and there’s also no penalty for wrong answers.

What do you think? Which one would/will you choose? Thank you for your collaboration

Take a practice test for both and see which one plays to your strengths more. You can obtain limited free test prep material for both tests. (The ACT has the advantage that you can access a MUCH larger archive or past tests in order to prepare, though you may have to pay for additional practice tests.)

I personally found the ACT much friendlier to non-native speakers than the old SAT.

If you have more specific questions about each test, try the test prep section of this forum.
