New SAT Section 5?

Hello!

Today I took the SAT and I found out that there was a section 5. After the test I researched it and learned that the SAT makes an experimental section that exists in one section of the test that is unknown to the test taker. If my section 5 was another no calculator math section, then does that mean that one of the no calculator math sections was experimental? Also, if section 5 is only 20 min, then doesn’t that automatically make it the experimental section considering the time for the “normal” SAT no calculator math section is 25 min?

Thank you!

My daughter had the extra section when she took the new SAT in October. The College Board does it sometimes with those taking the new SAT without essay and its the last section always. She wasn’t expecting it either and was shocked when the proctor announced an extra section! Hers was reading but said some taking the test in her testing room had math, etc. We researched it well after she came home that day & discovered that last section would not be graded. And it wasn’t when she received her score report.
