I've already paid for the orientation from July 12-14...I just have a few questions...

Would it make a difference if parents came to this? Or should they not?

Also, are they giving you the same room you will have freshman year when school starts? Or are they going to just cram a bunch of people in random rooms? What should you bring for the 3 day orientation?

^ Thanks for the link. Some helpful stuff I didn't see before.

Anyway, for people who have attended these 2-3 day orientations, what was the experience like? Did you meet a lot of people and make some friends? If there is any spare time, what did you do in Ithaca (I've never visited before)? Any preparation needed for the placement tests?

My parents are comming, since I'm about 5 hours away and they're not going to drive 20 hours for a 2/3 day orientation. I don't really care either way. I'm guessing you'll get a more authentic experience if they're not around, but the website says you won't see them much. At least I'll be able to hit them up for money and not have to tell them all about it a million times.

We get nametags that say what grade we are in and what our name is. Thats a nice way to meet some people.
