I won't be able to attend CalSo which is when all the incoming freshmen get their tele-bears appt. to sign up for classes... I think for phase 1?

1) But since I can't do that.. when will I get my tele-bears information?

2) Also, what happens if all of the classes/ alternate classes I want are full? I was browsing through the schedule and practically all of the polysci classes have people on waiting... -_-

ADVICE?!

I transferred in last year, but I didn’t attend CalSO… but for me I was emailed about virtual CalSO around June 10, and was able to register a couple days after that. The freshmen dates are probably a bit different, just watch your school email.

This is why Berkeley does registration in phases, so everyone can get two classes they really want/need before everything fills up. For the lower div Poli Sci classes (I only see two lower div ones, 3 and 5?), one of them has plenty of seats… the other still has some spots too. The upper division classes (numbered 100-199) are pretty much filled, but freshmen don’t usually take those classes.

On all your classes/alternates being full… you’re in incoming freshmen. You have a ton of GE options, and major requirements. The chances that you won’t be able to find any classes to take are slim to none. You might not get your first choices, but you’ll certainly get classes…
