New to SAT from ACT

Hi all, I recently took the ACT in september and got a composite of 24. The school that I'm going (OOS, State University) to gave me a pretty good scholarship for the 24. However, I feel the ACT time limit really killed me, and I was thinking I should try the SAT at least once to see if I can boost my scholarship.

The school I'm going to does NOT look at the writing portion of either test, so I figure I'll have to only focus on CR and Mathematics, rather than 4 subjects for the ACT. I bombed the reading section on the ACT because the time limit got to me, and I did decent on math (still lower than I would like to be though.)

So I just had a few questions to anyone who has taken both, or heard of both. How diffrent does SAT Math vary from ACT Math? And also SAT CR and ACT Reading? (As far as format/question types go.)

Also (sorry haven't done much research on this yet) I mainly used the Princeton Review book for the ACT and really liked it, is the PR for SAT just as worthy?

I plan on taking the November test, which I believe gives me enough study time, going from the ACT. I guess my main goal is to get 1240+ on the SAT (Just going by Math and CR though.)
Thanks for reading! :)

No! stay away from PR. Get the Collegeboard official bluebook with 10 OFFICIAL practice tests, of which there are three that were actually administered.

My opinion is that they are very similar. I was able to get 700 Math score on a real SAT I test and a 32 math score on a practice ACT test. ACT, IMO, is a little bit easier in the way that their questions are more direct than SAT questions.

Thank you so much guys, I will get the Blue Book and taking all of the practice tests to see where I rank, and see if a 1240 is possible with some practice.

alienist you should really aim higher if you scored 24 on the act you should do well on the sat
1250-1400, but your best bet is to watch as many math tip videos, you won’t belive how many they’re and all are useful during the test. if you need some sites just reply or msg me

TY Stephen, the time limit is what seriously sunk my ACT score. You get more time for the SAT right?
I love math, its probably my favorite subject, but it never hurts to check some tips and tricks out! Also, do you have any help for the CR part? I hear thats the hardest…
