New to the SAT :)

I have taken the ACT 4 times(24, 26,26,28) and the PSAT twice. I would like some information on the main differences between the ACT and SAT.

ACT has a science section. SAT doesn’t. Thats the main one.

I’ve taken both, and I found the ACT slightly easier in the math, reading, and writing sections.

Okay, I knew it didn’t have Science. I hope I can make a 1330 on my first try…but that’s probably too much to hope for!

is 2080 for a 7th grader good if I want to get into an ivy league

@BornGenius - A 2100+ is “good enough” for an ivy league but that doesn’t mean that many 2300+ scorers don’t also get rejected.

@OP - The main differences would be the science section on the ACT and the studying schedule for both. It’s much easier to study for the SAT because collegeboard releases so many exams and consistently uses the same concepts/vocabulary words over and over again. If you’re willing to put in the time (which by the looks of it you are) you should be able to get a 1400+/2200+ no problem. The ACT tests your speed, when taking an ACT practice test I have no time to go back and check anything. On the other hand, when I take an SAT practice test I can work slowly and still have time to go back to questions I was unsure of.
