hello there,
My name's tenzin. I just got here to US and I'm facing a lot of problems regarding the education system. I'm going to be a junior when school starts. Over the summer, I was working real hard on this PSAT and SAT stuff but it's really hard. I was wondering if you guys have any ideas of how to study the voacabs and the writing section where you've to identify all sorts of errors. It's really hard for me. Hope you all would reach out. Thankyou

Tenzing Lama? Are You Tenzing Lama?!

Wait, nvm. Your going to be a junior. Lol i thought you were my friend for a sec.

Look around this forum section, there are a TON of threads regarding how to get 2400" , and threads dealing with the best SAT review books.

Enjoy your stay.

Btw, is your last name lama though?

Welcome to the US! For vocab, memorize a couple of words a day...like 10 or 20 or however many you want. Be sure to review all the words you have memorized everyday or at least every other day. For Identify sentence errors, I would just get familiar with English. Expose yourself a lot to English. This way, it will just be easier to "hear" the error. Be familiar with the common errors that occur on the SAT.

buy a time machine to go back to the past and learn English :P
or from now you will have to study real hard. I went to US at junior year too and now I'm upcoming senior. last year was a waste though cuz everything was so new that I didn't know what to do and where to start. Ii shoulda been at US at soph year

Lol I think you should be fine.. I came to US in 5th grade, and after about 2 months I knew the ups and downs of grammer. English grammer's a piece of cake, so if you work on your vocab you should be fine.

Lets see this. Dont worry about SATs for few weeks. I say to watch many English movies first, but good maybe classic movies. Learn some English from that. Next, learn about English conjugation of verbs. In addition just keep reading any English texts you can get your hand on.

^ rofl... lol I meant to say grammar on my post... oops

Go buy SAT books.
