New York Times or Economist

Hello guys!

Well, although the statement above may seem supercilious, my main point is- which of these is better for ameliorating reading skills?

I have been reading New York Times since june and i don't know should i continue reading it or move to Economist..

Thanks all!

If you are simply trying to improve your English reading and comprehension skills, I think that any well-written, current publication would suffice. Both the New York Times and Economist employ a clear, readable style. I suggest you read whichever you enjoy most.

Any other ideas?

i read neither and CR is no problem. you can’t put it better than pootie; go for whichever one you enjoy more. i prefer practice CR sections from prep companies and classics more. and if you want to spend time efficiently, just read more. a nice analogy of your situation would be “should i use index cards from company A or company B to create my flashcards?”

btw plz don’t jam as many bombastic SAT words as you can into 1 post

I agree. The OP’s use of the word “supercilious” is just wrong.

Sat words don’t exist my dear  ;)

it’s a real headache when it comes to critical reading…have no idea how to familiarise myself with the topic the passages delved into…
