Applying to the Paul Tulane Award or the Dean's Honor Scholarship? We know there were some difficulties getting materials in over the weekend - rest assured anything sent before the end of the day [12/16-FC] will be considered. Best option is to e-mail PDFs to interns@tulane.edu. Good luck, all!

is there any way to check that materials were received?

I would send an e-mail asking that question to that same addy.

When will we find out about the PTA? How long does it usually take to hear a decision?

On the chat the other night they gave conflicting information. The question was asked several times. One rep replied that it was rolling, another time a different rep said all the decisions would be notified at one time. I forget when? March? April? Whenever it was last year.

Last year it was March 10-11 and all at once. The one rep that said rolling was maybe new(?) and just used what is on the web site. Maybe they will do it rolling someday, although I have trouble seeing how that would work. Say early on, like January 15, they read some essay and, along with other factors about that student, decide to award him/her a PTA and do a notification. They continue evaluating the rest of the applicants and it turns out there are at least 50 others that were more qualified. Of course no one would ever know, but what would be the point? Seems to me the way they did it last year worked just fine.

So I wouldn’t look for anything before March, taylorjacqueline.

I have to correct myself. In looking back there were some notifications for the PTA that went out the same time as the DHS and arrived to people home’s via UPS on February 20 and 21 (at least that does show they are coordinating so that a single student doesn’t win both) and the remainder went out a couple weeks later. Thanks to Justmehere for pointing that out.
