Hey ERIKUH!
I am considering majoring in Public Health!!! the only 2 UCs who have it are Cal and UCI. I would LOVE to go to Cal, but it’s such a longshot for me. Anyway, I don’t know ANYONE majoring in public health and when I tell people that’s what I;m majoring in they always give me a puzzled look. Nice to know I’m not the only one in this world! I’m still researching it because the descriptions at the school websites are pretty vague to me. I’m excited and ready to transfer.

Joliefillie- So, I graduated high school in 2007, but I did a year with AmeriCorps (sort of like the Domestic Peace corps), and I would love to transfer to UCLA or Cal (wouldn’t we all?) with Anthropology, and either return to the non-profit sector or teach.

Sophie - suhweeet. although, I can’t major in it because I don’t have the pre-reqs for it I would love to minor in it. It’s incredibly important! Haha silly people. There’s a branch of anthro called medical anthropology so I’m looking into that.

Evan - when I tell people I wouldn’t mind going into teaching at the college level they think i’m crazy!

sophie - I was pre-med going into college, but realized that wasn’t exactly what I wanted to do in life. Plus I didn’t like the competitive atmosphere. I want to help people on a bigger scale with public health/NGO work etc.

So, I think I’m going to make asian humanities my alternate major for TAP. 80% acceptance rate (4/5 people) what what! ((I feel bad for the one person who got rejected lol))

Ugh, me too. I had some people ask if I got in anywhere and I had to tell them I was going to do it in two years instead of one. I’m still unsure of which major (PoliSci or History), so I’m taking this next year to do prereqs for both and hope I make up my mind.
