killerforhire, I was going to ask that same question until you said ‘nevermind.’ Haha. I want to double major too but there are no pre-reqs listed. ): And I wanted to put this other major as my alternative one for when I apply under TAP. Don’t know what to dooo.

Summer school sucks. It’s way too easy and the teacher keeps us until the four hour mark exactly. And some of the people in that class should go back to elementary school. (I’m bitter.) Hahaha.

How about a 5 unit class in 6 weeks? Ahhhh italiano. I am about to explode. And a ■■■■■■■■ math class…Eh…it probably is easy for most of you but I am a ra-tard at math. (funny “The Hangover” movie quote) AND WORKING.

Oh my gosh. I dont know how we all do it. We better get in every school we apply to!!!

edelynly, have you looked at the specific major website? I had to hunt around on the Middle East and North Africa Studies page before I downloaded a pdf that made everything clear. I guess I’d call the department itself if you can’t find anything on your own. It couldn’t hurt.

There are 14 year old high school students in my Western Civilization class. One of them got kicked out because they could not keep their mouths shut. Boo.

Yeah, I emailed them and they responded asking for a list of courses that could possibly match any of the required courses. I sent a list but apparently none of them fit. So I’m guessing I have to finish my requirements once I transfer…

So I decided to look at my schedule on a whim and SMC changed my english teacher from a super chill one to someone to one who works you and doesn’t give that many As.

I’m not too worried though even though it sucks that they did a switch-a-roo.
I feel like she wont be as tough as my HS english teachers.
I never got an A on a paper in high school after freshman year :P

My friend and I made this ridiculous YouTube video. It’s more of an inside joke, but here is the link if anyone wants to laugh for a minute or so.

So, browsing through statfinder, I couldn’t help but notice that the average amount of units of accepted people to good UC’s (like Berkeley and LA) were all very high. For LA, my major had an average of 110 units of the people accepted. That’s a lot of units…hell, that’s almost a senior status. Berkeley’s was even higher. Do the schools tend to accept people with more units? Should I try to load up on units this next year? Or is it irrelevant and just for some reason or another they accepted people with lots of units?

That’s not high? That’s a decent amount extra units to be the average…that’s like an extra class every single quarter. Does anyone know whether the UC’s prefer the applicants have a lot of units?

arcade… There is a difference between semester units and quarter units. That might be the where the 100 units come from… Yeah I am only doing about 65 semester units by the time I transfer.

I realize that it’s on quarter units, I am as well. If in order to be a junior applicant, you have to have 90, and the average of accepted students is 110, you don’t think that seems like they are more likely to accept applicants with a lot of units? 20 extra units is almost an extra class every single quarter. 65 would come out to 97.5 in quarter units btw. Berkeley’s was even higher.

^ I know it’s an average, but they prefer applicants with minimum units so that students can complete classes at the school they will be transferring to. And the school would get money. They’re all money-hungry. Hahha. (Of course it’s better for us to have completed more units at CC.) But, I mean, if everyone in a certain major has the same amount of units, there’s not much the school can do, can they?

PS: Can’t believe I didn’t go to Del Mar Fair this year. So sad. :'(
