Next Year Housing

sometimes privacy is nice....and from what I hear, the Balch singles are awesome

I guess some people don't want to take the risk with getting a nightmare roommate also?

The same thing happened to me, Myarmin. I had a 6:40 am time slot and couldn't get anything but a double in Founders Hall (Gothics)..has anyone lived there? Please tell me it's not that bad...

Wow, even at 6:40 you had trouble? Especially having been spoiled by a Court-Kay-Bauer single, I'm not sure how I'm going to adjust. Oh well, I guess sometimes things just don't go your way. I'm just worried that the Gothics are going to smell bad, especially with the poor ventilation and the public bathrooms. I have breathing problems at home but I haven't had any in my room here. I was also looking forward to living with new clean walls and furniture and everything, but oh well... I hope it's not too dirty or anything.

My friend lived in a double in North Baker (a gothic) the room was huge...but they had one closet. It wasn't bad...but it wasn't that great either

sigh - I lived in No. Baker - 35 years ago...I loved it...I think it was Room 221 - we painted our door numbers because one girl on our hall was an artist and started it...and wrote our initials in the leaded window - as had students in the 1800's - it was pretty cool - BUT - I did not grow up in a modern house with all the amenities (I grew up in NY)

hah...yeah...I'm originally from Upstate NY...and my house is old...so when my friends complain about their "horrible" apartment...I don't always understand what's wrong :-D

does anyone know when sophomores can move in in August?

anytime after freshman move in day....

what date would that be oO

freshmen move-in day this year is August 22nd

rytheguy--the doubles are like...one bedroom, then a door, and then another bedroom. some of them are just two separate bedrooms attached, and have separate doors leading into them.

I went to look at the house, however, and its quite small....

I live in Founders Hall right now actually. If you have questions, you can PM me.

If the Freshman move-in is in August, is it a big problem that I wrote in my finaid application that I "plan to begin my study at this university in September" ?

i don't think that that is a big deal
