Next Year's Sophomore Schedule Too Weak?

Hi,
First off, I've been reading your forums for a while now and have found many detailed answers to my questions about college. I currently am a freshman and have a 4.0 (unweighted), but haven't really struggled in any of my classes. Below is my current schedule and also are my (pending) plans for next year. Like many on the forums I hope to attend a prestigious college and eventually a law school. Furthermore, I devote a lot of time to extracurricular activities. I am on the varsity golf and debate teams, a few weeks away from becoming an Eagle Scout, in the Key Club, and am also working on turning my eagle scout project into a nonprofit where I hope to continue my service. Finally, I am a perfectionist and worried about not having a strong enough academic load to even be considered for "dream" college.
Schedule: (All A's to date)

HS Credits From Junior High:
Algebra I Honors
Geometry I Honors
Spanish I
Drivers Ed (0.5 Credit)
Psychology I (0.5 Credit)

Freshman Year (Current)
Spanish II
Debate I
Biology I Honors
AP Human Geography
Personal Fitness (0.5 Credit)
Care & Prevention of Athletic Injuries (0.5 Credit)
Algebra II Honors
English I Honors

Sophomore Year (Pending/Projected)
English II Honors
Pre-Calculus Honors
AP World Geography
Chemistry I Honors
Debate II
Weightlifting I (0.5 Credit)
Team Sports I (0.5 Credit)
Spanish III Honors

Final Thoughts/Mentions: My parents think my plans for next year are fine, however I feel as if I could be doing more. I signed up for weightlifting and team sports as a "break" which I believe is wise, but now think I could live without that break, if it were to largely jeopardize my college applications strength. Is only one AP credit in sophomore year imprudent? I am not really interested in AP sciences, but have considered AP statistics. My school doesn't offer many AP's for sophomores so I have few options (Art History, Biology, Chemistry, Stats & World).

Thank You for your time, it means very much.

Assuming you mean AP World History, since AP World Geography is not a subject, I think your schedule is fine. Most people don’t start piling on AP’s until your junior year. Unless your school is the exception, Chem I is a prereq to AP Chem. You can take AP Bio and/or AP Chem in a later year. If you have an interest in art history, take AP Art History; do not take it solely to look “impressive.”

Well, there’s AP Human Geography and AP World History. I think the OP is getting the courses mixed up.

Zach, your proposed sophomore schedule looks fine. Have fun with it!
Out of curiosity, why did you take “Driver’s Ed” in junior high? Seems a little early for that…

@SkiEurope Yes, thank you for the corrections. I meant AP World History and forgot AP chem was out of the question anyway.

@Bartleby007 Thanks for the response! Drivers Ed was online in the summer between 8th and 9th grade. To get my learners permit at 15, I had to have a drug and alcohol certificate which was the majority of the coursework and the rest was just practice for the road rules/signs test.

Your schedule looks fine and far surpasses what most sophomores will take. Most students don’t take PreCalc until their Senior year. Since you say you think you could be doing more, why not throw that time into your ECs?

I want to know why people take honors over AP…you should still take the AP test! OR take a collge class at your local college instead. Many CC schools even offer chem online…options. I regret not taking college classes in HS. Such a waste!
