I've been accepted to Chapman University and Colorado State University in Fort Collins, and I'm having a tough time deciding. They are both so different and I know I would be happy at either place. So I've been doing some research and the one thing I really need to know about is what the night life is REALLY like at Chapman. Because I've read so many mixed reviews on it either being fantastic or terrible.
I could really use some advice, maybe first hand form someone who goes to Chapman?... I would appreciate any advice though.
The main thing is I am looking for the whole college experience, which includes nightlife in some form and a college atomosphere and college town. I won't have a car my first year if I go to Chapman, but I know it's close to LA. I don't know how reasonable it is though to count on LA for all of my college nightlife and college experience.
Please leave any advice you have to help me make my decision, I sincerely appreciate it! :)

Chapman University is located in a residential neighborhood. To be respectful to the neighborhood and the residence there, many of the students go to nearby entertainment centers for fun.

There are plenty of places where you can go for entertainment and night life in nearby cities. Disneyland and Downtown Disney are very popular. There are some nearby malls people can go to for fun as well such as The Block at Orange. They have the Lucky Strike Lanes for bowling, AMC Theatres, Dave & Buster’s, Vans Skate Park, just to name a few. Here is the website for the Block if you would like more information.

Another nearby mall is the Westfield Main Place in Santa Ana. Here is their website.

If you don’t have a car, perhaps you can get a ride from a dorm mate or friends at the school, or take public transportation. Here is a website for public transportation as well.
