Night life

So, I like to balance fun and work and I was wondering if there are any cities with good night clubs around wake forest?

Greensboro has a decent night life....Winston-Salem is not bad either.

I'm only 17 so I don't know much about it lol....next year :D

Charlotte is about 45 minutes to an hour an a half away and it has pretty good night life. It's good for a day or weekend trip.

I've heard Greensboro and Chapel Hill can be interesting, but I haven't been there myself.

Arrite, people told me on CC last year that people from Wake go to Chapel hill for night life. That statement is untrue. Because apart from going for Halloween, no one even thinks about Chapel Hill.

Winston Salem doesn't really have much of a party scene, but then again I'm not 21. I hear they have a good strip club. lol

But most things are on campus. I'm having fun. I mean, I dont even go to the several Funday Monday and Wake Wednedday parties and I still have more than my hands full with parties. BUT I AM A FRESHMAN. The number of parties are lesser after freshman first semester.

contrary to what saketm said, i'd say there's far more to do after the first semester of freshman year. there are a couple reasons for this.
1. greek life: if you're the kind of person who's into this, you may pledge a fraternity or sorority, but most likely you'll at least be friends with someone who does. about 43% of the campus is greek (about 52% of women and 34% of men), so although the number of huge, random parties does decrease second semester, you'll more than likely be part of or know someone who is part of a greek organization, so you'll probably have plenty of parties to go to, if you're interested.
2. you'll realize there are other things to do, and after first semester you have a means to do them, since you'll probably know someone with a car (and know them well enough, by then, to drive around for ages in it with them). for me, second semester of freshman year was when my group of friends really solidified; everyone sort of realizes they don't have to hang out with the people with whom they don't get along. for me and my friends, this was accompanied by countless excursions to pilot mountain, shopping trips to charlotte, and even visits to friends' friends at other schools.

when you're 21, winston-salem itself has far more of a night life outside of the fraternity party scene. there are actually some really nice places that, unfortunately for most wake students, don't let in the under-21 crowd. i know i was very frustrated with it, especially since a lot of my friends were over 21, but it's something to look forward to!

I said I was under 21, so I don't know about any night clubs in town. I've heard that a few bars let you in.

Again, I say there is a lot of stuff to do rather than just party.
