Where do students go out to drink? What bars do students like the best? What are the most popular places to eat around at?

thats messed up, no one could answer his question.

you all must be under 21. i hope i don’t get to irvine and be surrounded by a whole bunch adolescents.

^^^ Why would half the people give a **** in the first place?
College Confidential =/ YELP (Reality check: traffic through this sub-forum is unrepresentative of the student body, not every student is a nerd that responds within 24 hours online)

That being said… the other half would tell you, the AE Pub (Campus), BJ’s (Marketplace), Yardhouse (Spectrum), etc.

Well, there’s probably mostly undergraduate students and high school students here, and there’s people like me who will only turn 21 in my senior year, so yeah, I don’t think I could help out too much here.

Ok, so let’s say this assumes that you are either a transfer student, flunked a couple grades, or are otherwise saving yourself until you all turn 21:

The Pub: When you go to the Pub on campus on your 21st birthday, you get a free giant mug of any beer of your choice. Every birthday afterwards you get a free pint. By the way, A pub only serves beer and wine. Don’t ask for shots or jungle juice. I actually overheard that once. Cash only!

Rushes: Fraternities and Sororities usually hold rush week where they find potential candidates for their group. This means a week of free pizza, drinks, meals, go-kart races, bounce houses, and other things paid out of their own treasuries. I think all freshman should take advantage of this ridiculous amount of swaggage. There is no pressure or obligation and you can come and go to events you and your friends want to go to.

Social Clubs: Cultural and interest group clubs tend to have many social events aside from meetings throughout the year and some of them have after-events or clubbing fundraisers. TAO, JSA, CSA, CA, Tomo no kai, TSA, Konnect, are just a few of the clubs out there, but they’re the ones I personally knew that rock out!

House parties: not much to say besides that they don’t ever last too long, cops always come because of a noise complaint or suspicion of underage drinking. you should still go and have a good time. Try to byob.

Irvine: Tacos&Co., The Balcony at Diamond Jamboree, Steelheads at UTC, etc. Just Yelp it.

Cities: Bar-hopping is another possibility once you find someone with a car (for those dorming or from out of the state/norcal). Popular destinations include Santa Ana for Proof and Crosby, Newport for Woody’s and a couple others, Costa Mesa for Sharks and the Lab and Camp, Downtown Fullerton (AKA DTF) for a number of places, and Long Beach for Pine street.
