NJ schools

Hi all! So as my college selection process begins, I am very interested in NJ schools. I would love to hear anyone's opinions on what I would consider my top 3:
1- Monmouth University (any opinions on homes college?)
2- TCNJ
3- Fairleigh Dickinson (any opinions on their honors school too?)

Thank you! :)

I love TCNJ! It is a great school and has a great reputation. One of the few public LACs. That said, if you are not in state I think the cost is high. OOS privates often come out cheaper with merit/FA.

Fairleigh Dickinson - This school has great learning disability support. If you do not have a LD, I think TCNJ academically beats FD and has better housing options.

I do not know enough about Monmouth, so I’ll let others give opinions on that.

TCNJ is much more selective and higher ranked than the other two. If your stats make you truly competitive for TCNJ, I think there are a lot of other better schools to consider above either Monmouth or Farleigh Dickinson.

TCNJ has the best reputation of all three and is the best value for the money. I agree with Sacchi; it’s beyond the league of your other choices.

Monmouth has a lovely campus and they are doing a lot of building there. It has good programs in some pre-professional majors.

What do you want to study?

Keep in mind that since NJ is a relatively small state, many students go home on the weekends. My nephew found that to be a little bit of a problem at TCNJ, and he found himself going home to PA a lot as well. As he got into junior and senior year, that happened less often. He was in a club sport and still felt the campus emptied out a little more than he would have liked on weekends.
