NJ Sci League

Is anyone in it? I'm a freshman and am going to participate in the Bio league. What are everyone's experiences with this e/c? I believe in January, I will be taking the cell/organic cmpds/photosynt & respiration test. Tips, suggestions, opinons?

Hey, I'm a freshman too and in Science League. What school are you going to for the January test?

Anyways, my friend (current sophmore) said that the biology tests were very hard and although he is a big science kinda person, he got over a quarter of them wrong.

Sry, no clue to where I'm going to take the test... lol I was just notified that I qualified among my other SCI club mates (5 out of 30). well, i've been doing past tests. how about you guys? my past practiced scores have steadily gone up and leveled out at a 90-95, but hopefully my test prep during this winter break helped me out.

I'm a junior, I've done science league since I was a freshman.

At my school, no one really cares how you score once you get there, the actual honor is to be chosen to go (most teachers do it by who has the highest average). The Bio stuff was hard, since every school does different stuff at different times in the year. Like, I rememember one test where it was asking stuff about like the shells of insects, and we hadn't learned that, and I scored pretty poorly. But no one really cared (at least from our school - other schools are more serious and had t-shirts and ****), so don't stress out about it. Our school always got like third for our region in Bio somehow, though.

The best part of Science League, though, is the cookies, drinks, and socializing afterwards. Make some friends, go talk to people, be bold! Ask where people are in the same class as you, et cetera. Have fun.

My school is hosting for January. (Scotch Plains Fanwood High School). Wow, 30 in freshman biology? We have 5, and 4 get to go.

We did two practice tests together, so I don't know my personal score. I thought they were pretty hard, but we'll be taking the test to see who goes to the competition this coming Tuesday.

that sounds kool, haha. i'm pretty excited now

ya seriously... 30 lol... but only about 10 are serious, though

we have 4 from each science course take the II exam... i've been doing it since freshman year... honestly, just guess.... the non perfect looking answers.. they're always right

im in chem II this year. freshman i was on earth science. soph. bio I

bio is pretty hard if your teacher is mediocre. i mostly studied on my own. got 10th in state, but then i took the ap exam and got a 5 without the course. so if you can do well, give urself a pat on the back.

I'm in it - done it every year of highschool. It's the academic EC that I've participated most in throughout my high school duration. Midland Park here - area 3. For those who know how it works with choosing people and such, consider this. My best friend and I were the only people on the team for Physics I last year (yes we only had 2 out of 4 possible) and we still came in 12th in the state - pretty cool if you ask me. Ok enough of my shamed plug!

Yeah I'm in chem II - I've been doing some previous tests and been getting around 3-6 wrong - not horrible - id like to make at least 92 on the first test as they get harder as the year goes on. GL to all!

crypto, you are in ap, right? have you done any extra studying for science league?
