NJ Science League

First exam today - how'd you fellow NJers do? I'm in division three - our team (Chem II) came in first by 4 questions! My friend got 21/25 for 84% and I got a 17/25 for 68% (84 is really good and 68 is solid). Combined score of 152, which is a competitive score for top state rankings. What'd you guys and gals thinks?

im not sure what division were in but we kicked ass

im from hillsborough... central NJ

i scored second in the competition for physycs I and my friend from the same school got 1st. i heard our other teams were among top 1st/2nd position too

Very nice! What were your and your friend's scores?

i'm a sophomore doing chemistry 1.... we had an easy test, i got a 25. (my 3 teammates all got 24's)

i got 20 he got 22.

i think our answer sheet has a few mistakes though(most likely not in my favor)

need to check with teacher tomorrow.

My physics one team got first in the area ... 86% plus 68% to get a combined score of 154.

i am not completely sure about this, being that I'm in bio I, but i overheard 100's, 98's, and 96's were given out for physics in my competition.

The Bio II exam owned my today...I got a 53, ouch...Our team managed to come in second though, which was lucky i guess...

i got a f*king 60 on chem ii

in 3 exams, what is the typical cumulative score for a top 10% individual placer? in 4 exams, what is the typical cumulative score for a top 10 school?

Oooo, Bio I for me. I got 1st out of the people who came to my school to test. YAY. My score was 62/80. I tied with another teamate and some kid from Watchung.

65/80 for Bio I for my friend and me. our team was third... 3 pts behind the 2nd place team... damn I don't know how I got 15 wrong... i thought maybe 5-8 max because all the practice tests i did much better

NeutronFlare - it depends for each test. Bio exams are out of 80 questions - my friend got 65s for all four tests and his cumulative score was a 195 - he got a plaque for top 10% in bio I and Physics I. For a top 10 team in Chem II, I'd say a cumulative team score for all four exams would be 640+ - probably even a little bit higher.

lavenderdream - how did you get 86% if it is 25 questions... I got an 80% which freaking sucks since it was all stupid errors.

Bio, got a 57/80, which I guess isn't that bad...

stevezilla ... i haven't a clue. it was on the score sheet, and my memory isn't that bad ... i hope.

Do you guys know if chemistry 1 is supposed to be the easiest to get high scores on?

foolonthehill, two people in my area (one from my school) got perfects on the chemistry 1 ... and I think those were the highest scores out of all the tests - perhaps there was one perfect in physics II but I'm not certain.

My school got first in our area in Physics II, Bio II (my team!), and Chem I.

haha, yeah I thought so. Hm...btw, I heard there were a couple of people from Manalapan last year who got 25's for all 4 tests or something. That is pretty sick.
