No Alumni Interview

Hey guys!

I'm applying to Princeton this year, and I sent in all of my parts of the app like two weeks ago and I still haven't been contacted for an alumni interview.

Is this normal? Doesn't Princeton try to interview all applicants? Should I be doing anything differently or just sitting tight?

Thanks in advance for help and advice!

Don’t worry, sg12!

I applied to Princeton last year and didn’t hear about my alumni interview until January 14th. I think Princeton is trying to interview as many applicants as possible. If there’s someone in your area who can arrange an interview for you, you surely will receive one. So, just sit back and relax. Get prepared for it, and good luck :)

Thanks, siyutsai! I realize that I shouldn’t be worried, but as I submitted my Princeton app fairly early, I expected to hear back soon.

I guess I’ll just have to be patient then.

Do you have to request an interview, or is it just a contact thing based on the availability of Alumni in your area?

I sent my application in at the beginning of October and I still have not heard; don’t worry about it.

You don’t need to request. You’ll be contacted directly by a Princeton alumnus/alumna in your area.

I was contacted for an interview (by email) about four weeks after mailing my application. Don’t worry. If they have alumni available in your area they will contact you. Usually the deadline for interview reports is around early march, so the latest you should get contacted is late february.
