Ok, so next year, I'll be a junior and my school will not have AP French. I have had three years of french. Will colleges think it is bad thtat I will not have AP French?? Please help me, Im really worried

Uhh if your school doesn’t offer it, there’s not much you can do about it. Sure you could possibly self-study, but the experience’ll be so much worse than if you had an actual teacher to help you…

So colleges wont think it’s a big deal?

-Shakes head- How could you take it if your school doesn’t offer it?

Don’t make college a priority when choosing classes, though, make sure you come first :/

Consider yourself lucky

I second that.

But yeah. Colleges will see that your school doesn’t offer it, so no harm done unless you really enjoy French.

Whaaat. AP French is the best!

Maybe you can continue French at a community college if you’re that interested in it.

I was in a similar situation, I took the first three years of french at my all boys school. But our ap teacher left so we went to our sister school to take it. Unfortunately they had been taking a MUCH more rigorous curriculum so we were basically screwed. What I would suggest is having your counselor write that the program was discontinued. That’s what ours did for the ten or so boys who dropped the class day one

The thing about language APs is that even though they’re really hard, you don’t have to have taken the class to do well, you just need to be proficient in the language.
