<p>Hey guys, I applied ED to Cornell, and i havent taken many ap classes in my higschool years. I took one in my junior year and 3 in senior year. Most of the top notch kids in my school have around 8. Will I have a chance at cornell with a few APs. The thing is all the kids in my school have AP scores in the range of 3's, so will that just show that AP classes in my school dont mean a whole lot? </p>
<p>It depends on other factors aswell, whats ur overall gpa and test scores? I think the focus should be more on quality rather than quantity. so choosing fewer aps and doing well is better than choosing like 20 aps and getting like all 3’s. Also are those aps related to ur major? if so u should be good cuz its kinda useless to the adcom if u wanna go into science but have a bunch of art aps. </p>

<p>95 10th% 2250 780 chem 800 math 2c took apush but not the ap exam in junior year… taking ap physics, ap calc and ap gov pol as senior</p>

<p>While AP scores(unless it’s like 2 or 1 in top notch schools) don’t matter much for admission-it’s for college credits-the fact that you didn’t take many AP courses
will definitely make you seem less competitive than other students who took more APs AND got As in your school</p>
