CAS, RD
good essay =)

but srsly, its a highhhh reach right?

More like a Low Reach.

aw you definitely have a chance!!!!

good luck! hope you get in =)

I really wouldn't get caught up in whether or not you have a chance to get accepted!

Sure, we have to be realistic, but DREAM AND GIVE IT A SHOT! Really, the worst that could happen is that they say NO. But what if they say YES? Go for it!

What school are you applying to? Unless you're applying to stern, you have a pretty good shot as long as you get excellent recommendations and have some stellar essays.

arts and sciences :/

oh and all honors classes and three APS... including some riculously hard classes senior year like calc?! what was i thinking haha

You have a pretty decent shot. I kinda think that you underestimate your self. Your SATs are slightly below avg, but your GPA is really good and you are well rounded. I am not sure if they LSP RD applicants, but I think that you would be a candidate for the program.

good shot, SAT is fine. Its not Stern so its not major numbers to consider. A better essay would give you a better than SATs.

Achievement

whats LSP? :/ is that a stupid question?

LSP is for if you don't get into CAS they might put you in LSP and you can transfer into CAS later. your stats are good. if you write wonderful essays and get great recs you have as good a chance as anyone - nyu is the kind of school where it's not just based on numbers.

what would i go into then? if not CAS??

well after 2 years at LSP, if you maintain a 3.0, you are guaranteed admission to the school you originally applied to.

From the NYU Admissions Bulletin Board:
"We select about 10% of the applicants to New York University for this program. We select students for Liberal Studies that have not been offered admission to their first choice school (predominantly due to our highly selective admissions process), but whom we believe to be excellent matches for NYU. They are typically liberal arts-minded, academically competitive, and independent thinkers. While the large majority of students offered admission to Liberal Studies have initially applied to the College of Arts and Science, we also select a few students from the Gallatin School of Individualized Study and the film program within the Tisch School of the Arts."

About 1000 students enter LSP each year at the New York and international campuses.

You're Right.

thanks stevenwhaetland -___- haha
