Chance me?
First off, the bad:
Low GPA: 3.7 weighted
Failed world history AP, rough year, but I made a 5 on the ap test.
Top 25 percent, but not a great rank.

The good!
I'm male, not gay, and applying ED1
I have an intrinsic intellectual drive that really shines in my essays, and I'm very passionate about languages.
Took French 1 sophomore year, self studied French (all I did in my free time), skipped to french VI AP, had the highest average and got a 4 on the AP test (should have been higher, I'll explain below)
I took Almost every AP class available in the us, my school had a wide selection
4 years of german, skipping german 2 to german 3 pap, earned awards for highest grade in all language i've been in. 3 on AP test (should have been higher;explain below)
ACT; 36
French club president for junior/senior year, which I basically ran as a French lit/discussion class. I want to be a French professor, nobody else cared about french, so I practiced lecturing.
German club president since sophomore year
Heavy involvement with a local art collective
I speak French, German, Catalan, and to a lesser extent Portuguese
Sat French:~780-800, will here back oct 20th
Sat lit:~730-780
17 AP tests, most were 4's and 5's, including tests I would self study for, without taking any class. My foreign language scores should have been higher, but both times my speaking portions were null due to improper testing procedures
I'm a strong writer, I like to write, it shows in my essays.
My personal space was a reading list, including all the French lit I used to teach myself French.
My why vassar essay was pointed, and in all my essays i carried a them of my internal drive for knowledge. I feel it is quantitatively shown aswell (getting 5's on AP tests without classes, teaching myself French)

What do ya think, kids?
