If a program has no dance call as part of the audition, does this mean that dance is less emphasized in the program? I have read that UArts is “good for dancers” so was puzzled that at Unifieds UArts had no dance call.
U Arts has an optional dance call when you audition on campus. My daughter chose not to do it last year when we were there. She was admitted to the program .I am not sure why some schools don’t do a dance call. CMU comes to mind as I know they did not used to do one either. Perhaps they think dance can be improved upon easier then singing or acting? I don’t think it is really a huge indication that dance isn’t emphasized.
