<p>I think I remember going through last year's thread and seeing that some students received an email well after the majority. I could be wrong, but that's what I seem to remember. Best of luck to you and I really hope you get in, espcially considering it's your first choice!</p>

<p>A girl from my school received her email today from AU, and I receieved an email yesterday from another college we both applied to, but she didn't get an email. Perhaps it's just timing.</p>
<p>But I also know I clicked on the option NOT to have an email sent to me on some of the schools I applied to, but I don't remember if AU had this option or not...</p>

<p>Hmmm. I didn't get one either. Top 2% of a class of around 570, 3.92 UW GPA, 2070 SAT (1480 M/V)... Erm. So I'm a little confused. I mean, I already got in my second choice, but I did want to compare fin aid packages and I did like American a lot... I dunno.</p>

<p>I'm thinking it might have something to do with the fact that we had some issues with my financial aid...? Why would they ask for more information just a bit ago (a week and a half, a week) when they were just going to reject me? Hmm.</p>

<p>Recognize that they send emails out in waves. They may actually be sending out the honors program emails out later which explains why many of you "safety" people have not received one. I was part of the last wave to receive an acceptance email, over a week after my friend got his.</p>
<p>i have not gotten one either.....but i got an emial from the midwest admis. yesterday saying my app is complete and i should hear back soon</p>
<p>D received an email yesterday that starts "good news is on the way from american" Have not opened but I assume it must be the "big" good news.</p>
<p>just an idea...why don't you all say what school within AU you applied to, to see if the waves of emails are related to the individual schools' acceptances? good luck to all!</p>
<p>D received a large envelope from American today with congratulations on the outside. We are in PA. She did not get an e-mail. Keep the faith!</p>
