No EC, No Chance?

Hello! I’m a non-traditional student. I took a few years off to work, save money for college, and started attending classes at a local CC. I was fortunate to receive financial aid to cover expenses so I don’t need to work while attending class. I haven’t participated in any clubs on campus. I’m applying to transfer Fall 2020,

How much will having no extracurricular activities hurt my application? Would I be last pick?

My GPA is around 3.8~4.0. But having no EC probably means my chances at transferring to a UC is very low. I plan to get involved during Spring semester and Fall before I transfer, but it seems kind of pointless when I’d only be a “member” at best - not any leadership position. Should I look for a part-time job instead?

At my college, the policy to be considered a member of a club is attendance of three consecutive meetings. If you don't think you have leadership skills, I say just claim as much membership in good clubs such as math and engineering.
However, I honestly believe getting a leadership position is easy. I am currently president of the math club even though I'm only in calc 2. I just made a bunch of memes and handed them out, which the other members didn't do. All you have to do is stand out a little more. You are already older, so that gives you an edge. Just come in a suit and make a music video in some lame club and I guarantee you will get elected as president.
