I’ve been digging around a lot and realized that while L&S students have to take foreign language, I can’t find a single paper that states it’s a requirement for a CoE student. Seriously? With ~24 classes to take in the next 2 years I’m fairly relieved if that’s the case!

I might do it anyway though… just to do it ^_^

not a requirement for engineering students. judging from how busy my engineering friends’ four-year-plans are, though, if you’re not skipping ahead significantly then i suggest you don’t do anything superfluous (unless you know you can do it for sure - try out a four year plan. two of my close friends are engineers and they are barely on track to graduate in four years, even with summer school)
but yeah, you don’t need to do it. not much language is required, even when in something like IR. i’m double majoring Econ/IR and the lowest level of german I need is 20, I tested into 21, and took 20-21-22 this year.

hehe, 4 year plan? I’ve just been in community college for 4 years! It took a while to take all of the math/science classes I needed to take, and I did get quite a few GE classes in as well. Somehow, I managed to miss all of social sciences, but… yea…

I’m glad to hear that’s the case. Again, it’s not that I don’t want to, but the load is pretty significant as it is.
