I recently got mail from Pomona stating that an interview is "strongly recommended." How much would it hurt if I didn't have an interview? I live far away from a big city so going to an interview would be highly inconvenient and I want to make sure that it's worth it first.

No problem at all. My son went ED 2 at the last minute and never had time for an interview and he is there. They realize that not every single applicant is able to connect for an interview. If it was critical, they could add skype like Wake Forest does!

Okay, thanks so much!

Not interviewing will not affect your application. You can request an alum interview in case there’s one who happens to live in your neighborhood. Otherwise, you’ll be just fine.

Good luck!

Just want to point out that if you live in Southern California Pomona does expect you to interview and to do so on campus. So, if you live in Southern California I think you will be hurt if you do not interview.

Just to add to what CountMonteCristo said:

The Southern California rep, Malisha Richardson, was quoted saying that if you live in socal, you are expected to make arrangements to interview or show that you tried to interview.
