No love for Goizueta Scholars semifinalists?

Have any Goizueta semifinalists, who did not advance to the finalist phase, receive any merit $$? I haven't seen any reports on this board, so perhaps this is the nature of the program.

Psychologically, it seems odd to structure a program this way, where after being identified as a contender, no actual merit aid actually materializes - especially when the sister program (Emory Scholars) operates differently. And yes, I know that semifinalist status confers some benefits - early admission notification, and guaranteed admission to the biz school.

My daughter, while in no way feeling entitled to anything, has been quite disappointed in Emory's handling of the program. She's tried to get clarification both by email and by phone, and received no definitive answers.

As things stand, she will likely pick from one of her other excellent options.

Since I haven’t seen any response, I guess the answer is no.

Among my D’s choices, UT Austin BHP/Plan II Honors and Rice are well ahead of Emory (with no merit $$).
