Is it bad that I am not getting any College mails after I took the PSAT? I am pretty sure that I circled that I wanted to get mail, but I haven't gotten any at all...

Should I be worried?

Should I be worried?

I don't think there's much need to be worried because those letters don't matter much anyway. I mean, they open your eyes to different colleges and are meant to pique interest, but it's not like when you apply, colleges will actually check to see if they sent a letter to you or not.

im getting the impression that you are an incredibly paranoid person

I got mail for about a week, then it just stopped. I don't know what the hell happened.

I am just worried that if no mail is coming then maybe collegeboard didn't even get my PSAT test. I don't care about the fact that I am not getting mail it just that my counselor ( who is not very good at it) said that maybe collegeboard misplaced my test. <- don't know if that is true though!

If you already have your PSAT score, then how can it be "misplaced"? Besides, it's the PSAT. It doesn't really matter except in terms of the National Merit Scholarship.

I don't have my PSAT score.

^then thats probably why. I started gettin mail in january of last year (im a junior but i took it as a sophmore and i got a 187)

Why, do colleges see your PSAT scores or something?

it took a while for me to start getting mail after the PSAT and I was slightly worried, but it ended up coming. there have been like a total of 5 days this year I haven't recieved any mail.

And seriously, its not that great. I've gotten like 13 emails in the past 2 weeks from Azuza Pacific telling me to let them send me a brochure of some sort. They just keep sending random things to you. 80% of it is from unkown universities, 15% are from known, but not nesasarily prestigious universities and 5% are from like Columbia and Brown and the rest of them. It gets annoying fast. Its kind of like snow, the novelty wears off very quickly

Heh, I got those too but from like 10 different schools. I have yet to get my PSAT scores. Most of mine have been random, the only one that barely stood out with Stetson.

It will come soon enough. In large quantities. Very, very large quantities.

Does it matter if you did good or bad whether or not you will get mail?

No, it's completely irrelevant. Colleges don't even see your scores, just the information you provided concerning GPA and major and whatnot.

I find that college mail hits the hardest in the spring time. I've received a ton of stuff this year, but I remember my sophomore year got pretty bad in January-March. So don't worry it'll come eventually.

Okay, good because my couselor said that it could mean that CB hasn't gotten my scores yet (guess she was wrong, again)

Thank goodness I haven't been bombarded with college mail yet. More along the lines of "You qualify for financial aid!" What a pleasant reminder.
