<p>Don’t worry. Even a class is offered at your school, you may not be able to take it due to quota or schedule conflict. It is a kind of common in my school district that students taking online courses for that reason. It would not make it less legit. But still, you don’t want to have an empty slot on your schedule unless you are claiming to use that for online course.</p>

<p>Focusing more on ECs comes off as really lame. Also, I wouldn’t offer an answer unless it comes up directly, say in an interview. The extra online course should be self-explanatory.</p>
