I received a 231 in NM/VT last year. However, I haven't heard anything about being a semifinalist. My school counselor hasn't received anything either.

Should I already have heard? What should I do?

Could someone tell me what the asterisk means? DD got 215 in Ohio and hasn’t been called to guidance/principal. Another student was called down today. DD doesn’t know what the other student’s score is. I am worried that the 214 reported for Ohio isn’t correct since it wouldn’t make sense for the principal to tell one student and not all of them.

linnylu, an asterisk means the student is not eligible for NMSF. My kids’ sophomore scores had asterisks; their junior year scores did not have them. If your child took the test as a junior and has an asterisk but should be eligible, he or she may have filled something out wrong on the answer sheet.

Call NMCorp to make sure that the asterisk problem was fixed. Usually the GC has to send something in as well. It’s not too late to get that fixed. Last year, a mom got her kid’s fixed in October.

My son’s score had an asterisk because he forgot to bubble in that he’s a full time student. The GC took care of that after scores came out.
